Ready to gather some gorgeous greens? Let's dive into the world of kale harvesting!

Here are some quick tips for harvesting kale:

Start from the Bottom: Harvest the outer, lower leaves first, and work your way inward and upward. The younger leaves at the top are tender and great for raw dishes.

Leaf Size Matters: Aim for leaves about the size of your hand. Smaller leaves are tender (great for salads), while larger leaves are better for cooking.

Snip or Snap Off: Gently twist and snap the leaves off by hand, or use garden scissors to cut them close to the stem. Be careful not to damage the central bud.

Regular Harvesting: Picking leaves regularly encourages new growth. Try not to harvest more than a third of the plant at a time.

Leave the Center Intact: Ensure the center of the plant remains untouched, as this is where new growth will emerge.

After Harvest Care: Water the plant after harvesting, especially if you've taken a lot of leaves. This helps the plant recover and continue producing.

Remember, kale is hardy and can continue to produce leaves even after frost, sometimes enhancing the flavor! Enjoy your fresh harvest!
